Three Area Youth Selected for Continental Singers Tour
Jennifer Loeppky of Foxwarren Ramsey Klassen and Stacy Spear of Russell were chosen by the Continental Singers for a summer tour of Western Canada. After auditioning last year and receiving February acceptance, they begin training June 24 near Calgary then tour British Columbia Alberta Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Russell hosts them mid July, with a concert July 14 in Russell thanking supporters.

On June 3 2004 over a dozen locals discussed forming a community foundation in the Langenburg Churchbridge region. Don Layh noted Family Friends Community Foundation success and emphasized broad community involvement to endow perpetuity. Next meeting June 29 2004 at 8 00 p m at the Russell District Community Centre with Jim Renni from Community Foundations Canada. all interested invited.
