End of an era marks Lidcliff Hall sale and relocation
On June 7 1997 residents gathered for an auction of Lidcliff Hall contents dating back to 1925 when local men and women built the hall as a community gathering place. Proceeds included sentimental items and farm equipment amid years of renovations and a hydroelectric installation blamed for rising costs.
