Silver Creek Meeting Seeks Speed Limits and Grants
Silverton hosts a June 3 meeting with all members present. Minutes from the prior session approved. An effort to enforce a 12 mph speed limit in Silverton and Angusville noted. Grants proposed for Boys and Girls' Clubs in Angusville and Binscarth at 20 dollars each. Other items include audits, road through 8S.E. 2027 agreed, land damages set at 30 dollars per acre and 250 dollars, and next meeting scheduled for July 8 at Silverton.

Prospects Bright for District Racing Season
The district expects a strong season as public interest remains high with large attendance in past races. Forty five entries last year from across the province supported a well tailored program and competitive contests at Binscarth and Russell. The Sports Committee plans a reground track and fencing by July ahead of the two day fair, though training has been hampered by poor tracks and a backward Spring. Some districts are already preparing entries for the first meeting at Binscarth on the 21st.
