A sermon by Rev. J. F. Douglas explains that Christ’s saving power extends to all who come to God by Him and continues through intercession. He emphasizes a living Saviour, the necessity of faith, repentance as the first step, and the promise to save from the uttermost of sin despair evil temptation and sorrow to lasting joy.
Blenheim Country Club hosts the second annual Picnic at Hooer’s Lake Beulah on Thursday June 15 starting 1 p.m. Events include horse races with various entry fees and prizes, junior baseball and bicycles, a night dance with an orchestra, and a list of horse entries and overdue entries. A public meeting of the society's members will be held at Odd Fellows Hall Russell on July 6 1922 at 8 p m to decide on selling forty feet of the society property to the Russell School Board and purchasing a portion of the school board property in Shawberien for 5000 on first mortgage. The Rural Municipality of Russell informs that at its May 17 1922 meeting it will consider by law to open and establish a public road through parts of sections 10 and 15 in township 21 29 W. The plan was prepared by Richard J Jephson surveyor in 1914 and sworn in 1916. Citizens whose lands may be affected may petition to be heard.
The Municipal Voters Lists for the Town of Russell for 1922 are now on file at the Clerk's Office. Parties interested should examine them as they are prepared on a new basis. A. B. Callin, Clerk.
