Vehicle extrication exercise trains volunteers and fire staff
Seven ambulance attendants and eight firefighters staged a mock vehicle crash led by Tim Zentner on a service garage property. Six students simulated injuries while attendants practiced rapid extrication, aiming for the golden hour, with scripted injuries including cardiac arrest and multiple traumas. The exercise will be held twice yearly to refresh skills and test new equipment, the organizers say, and volunteers stress motorists must pull over for emergency vehicles.
