Town fairs listed with dates in late July and August across Rossthurn Rinscarth Kaseell Kottin Birtle Shellmont Brandon and surrounding areas. Events span July 31st to August 16th with multiple fairs on consecutive days in several locations.

Russell school closes for summer on June 15 amid exams and a field day the following Saturday with races prizes and prizes being bought by teachers. Casualties and local notices include veterans and baptism service plus a Grain Growers meeting in C W Thoms office on Friday June 8 at 3 pm.
About 120 women registered as voters in Binscarth on Monday. Dr Kirwan of Winnipeg visits June 11 to 14. Local updates include army recruit Jack Richards, Home Economics Society, a beef demonstration for Mr Porter, and road work by Campbell Bros.
