Two-Vehicle Crash Near Russell At Highway 16 Intersection
A noon Tuesday collision at the Highway 16 and Main Street intersection in Russell involved an eastbound car and a westbound small truck. Fire crews used the Jaws of Life to free Lorrie Holovach and Ian Swain, both of Russell, after their car rolled. Neil Privat of Brandon sustained minor injuries. all three were treated at Russell Hospital with Holovach and Swain kept overnight for observation. Holovach was charged with unsafe turning.
