Yachminka Ukrainian Dance Ensemble celebrates two decades of tradition
The Russell based Yachminka Ukrainian Dance Ensemble marks 20 years of cultural performances with forty three dancers from five Ukrainian regions. Led by Lenore Fenton and instructors like Cory Buleziuk, the group earned trophies at Kalyna and Bukovyna events, with senior stars Sara Yagelnnski, Carly Betke and Britney Truman highlighted. Performances span Manitoba and Saskatchewan venues, including Dauphin and Yorkton, culminating in a May 2009 competition season and a year ending Malanka celebration.
