Swim for Life honors Auntie Cindy with growing turnout

Dani Huberdeau and the Falloon family organized a Swim for Life event at Wynyard pool to honor Auntie Cindy. The all night pledges fundraiser for cancer research drew 97 participants and raised $20,642.13, surpassing last year's $12,000. Community support from Russell, including grandparents and sponsors, boosted donations and participation.

Local prize list shows varied awards and weekly draw

Remainder of the prizes remains status quo with two at five hundred dollars, one at two thousand, then three thousand and five thousand. The prize is one thousand dollars weekly for a year. Only two thousand tickets will be printed and sold at various local businesses including Twin Valley Gas Bar and Andrew Agencies with a draw set for October 27.
