Roblin and area councils fund medical student return for service
Roblin town council and Hillsburg and Shell River RM councils approve in principle a return for service plan with a University of Manitoba medical student. The program funds up to 15000 per year for two years with the student committing to practice in the community for two more years, backed by 30000 from Parkland RHA for two additional years. Mayor Doug Hazlitt notes the idea originated with former mayor Lorne Boguski and that a formal request to Roblin District Health Centre is now in progress.
