Eight Year Old Donates Hair to Locks of Love

Mackenzie Collette cut about fourteen inches of hair to donate to Locks of Love, a nonprofit providing wigs for children with medical hair loss. She and her mother researched the program and passed on the hair to help kids who cannot grow their own.

Stampede Wagon Train Heads to Swan River Parade

A caravan of about nine wagons led by Bob and Karen Schwalm travels from St. Lazare through the Assiniboine Valley toward Swan River for the Stampede Parade opening on July 28. The eighteen day trek includes roughly 40 people from British Columbia Saskatoon Pine Falls Beausejour and Virden.
