Safeway expands ground meat recall over E coli risk
Canada Safeway broadens its July 11 recall to include all ground meat products made on April 24 2002 due to potential E coli 0157:H7 contamination. Affected items from Safeway brands cover one and five pound chubs of lean and regular ground beef and pork with May 8 2002 best before dates and tray pack beef. No illnesses reported. guidance given on proper cooking and contact numbers provided for recall information.
