Hotel expansion eyed near Russell Inn amid spruce trees dispute
The Russell Inn proposes a downsized land purchase to build a two story hotel with a pool and water slide next to the hospital. Towns support the revised plan while preserving a spruce tree barrier and ensuring $25,000 goes to a local foundation for future health projects. Public concern persists about land use, expansion needs, and impact on patient comfort and future care space.
