After nearly a year of updates Legacy Builders and town crews completed paving and fencing for the Russell Swimming Pool. The grand opening is planned for Sunday June 22 from 3 to 6 pm with hot dogs cake and kids activities. Swimming lessons have also started and the pool schedule is on page 6.
Crews from Russell Redi-Mix and Borland Construction finished the first phase of a $9 million project outside Russell, widening shoulders and overlaying asphalt from just south of Russell to Binscorth despite rain delays. Next steps include north service road paving and concrete medians to separate traffic, with completion by season's end.
