Picnic and Community Events Highlight Weekend in Morden Area
Residents gathered for a large community picnic with softball finals, a Dropmore dance, and sports at Saltcoats and Elphinstone. Visitors from Morden, Carman, Elm Creek, and Inglis joined W Skinner and Clem Robertson at Clear Lake while W Skinner attends a Manitoba Game and Fish Association meeting.

Angusville School Windup and Community Notes
Students and teachers enjoyed a final windup with picnics and hikes in Angusville. Activities included Room 2 trip to Birdtail for fishing, a 5 lb catch by Lawrence Parobeck, and high school picnics in Assiniboine valley. William Kobluk presented a remembrance to Mr. Chalaturnyk on behalf of the fade eleven students. A local hardball team played Elphinstone on July 1, bringing home Salami rather than bacon. Summer school plans send Stella Mazur, Rosie Rogasky, and William Kobluk to Tuxedo. A Queen Candidate drive and C M E Jamboree tickets are urged for August 8 in Rossburn. Stanley Kier of Winnipeg visited the Juce home. Paul Stanchuk vacationing in Yorkton area. Pestuk left Vita after resigning from St Marys to teach in Angus two in fall.

Mrs Fred Wright of McKim spent a week with daughter Mrs M Laycock. Mr and Mrs W Bird Olive and Ernie visited North Battleford. Mr and Mrs J Kadlubee of McKim and Mr and Mrs W Brown of Yorkton with Gordon Wright spent the weekend with Mrs Laycock. The Community Club and school picnic held June 30 was well patronized. Several district residents attended Saltcoats Sports the following day.
