Bipole III forum stirs politics over new transmission route

Manitoba MLA Len Derkach warned a packed Lake of the Prairies Rotary room that a government change may be needed to derail the Bipole III plan. He cited three proposed routes around Lake Winnipeg, avoiding Duck Mountain and Riding Mountain parks, to protect three miles of corridor through Hillsburg and Shell River ridings.

Dirt bike week spurs RCMP patrols in Inglis and Russell

RCMP respond to loud dirt bike activity in Inglis with riders not wearing helmets. Four quads and a red Honda were observed on Lawrence Street as drivers fled police.
