ER closures in Russell reduce weekly emergency access
Prairie Mountain Health suspends weekday ER services at Russell Health Centre due to only two physicians serving the catchment. Beginning January 26, ER is closed Monday to Wednesday 8 am. Dr Stroh returns in February to resume two extra days, then Mondays and Tuesdays close again. Ambulance staff remain. patients advised to call 911 and go to Roblin or Shoal Lake if needed. Non urgent clinic hours stay open.
