Vanguard Credit Union approves 750000 surplus share dividends
Vanguard Credit Union reports a 750000 patronage refund to members from surplus shares at its January 9 2002 annual meeting in Rossburn Manitoba. CEO Norm Nicol notes assets rose 13 percent to 1535 million with loans to members up 11 percent. Total operating income reached 1.5 million. Board president Elaine Dixon thanks members as 1076 new joins boost equity to 4.58 percent of assets with a 5 percent target.

Water treatment grads honored in Binscarth and Russell
