MTS workers deployed to aid California flood recovery
Manitoba Telecom Services sends 86 MIS Net employees to Northern California to assist Pacific Bell with weather related repairs and service restoration. The team includes cable splicers installation and repair staff and supervisors, staying at least three months under the contract. Pacific Bell calls the move part of an emergency mutual aid effort amid nearly 41 California counties declared disaster areas and $2 billion in damages.
