Russell-Binscarth Recreation District Programs Grow Local Involvement
The Russell Binscarth Recreation District partners with town and village groups to serve community needs. Under the Recreation Director’s guidance, grants are secured, clinics and workshops promoted, and tournaments organized. The district supports facility renovations, launches new leagues, and welcomes new residents to use the area’s facilities. From card parties to summer softball, activities span wide. Volunteers drive most events, and citizens are encouraged to visit the office or call for information on activities and participation.

He urges adding hand rails on all stairs and placing rails on both sides for open or worn stairs. Painted or bare wood steps are safer than varnished. Add sand to paint for grip and use bright paint or reflective tape on ends. Ensure lighting is adequate from top and bottom.
