Arena fundraising hinges on April 1 NHLPA grant
The Goals and Dreams program will fund 15000 dollars pending invoices by April 1 2004 or the Russell Arena project will lose the grant and close the file. Arena chair Willis Pushka notes the deadline requires boosted fundraising as committees seek 30000 more by April 1 beyond 55000 raised so far. They plan more letters to clubs and business, plus three 10 year ad spots at 3000 each and golf pools to reach the goal. An account at the Town Office accepts tax deductible donations to the arena fund.
