Manitoba Cuts Taxes as Wages Rise in Manitoba
Manitoba unveils an $11.8 million corporate tax relief plus a 25 cent minimum wage increase to 7.25 dollars effective April 1. Labour minister Nancy Allan says the steps balance tax cuts with wage growth to boost purchasing power while maintaining a balanced budget. A new Minimum Wage Board will convene to plan 2006 and beyond.
