Frozen to death of game warden near Riding Park

Game warden crank reener aged 91 was found frozen to death two miles from home after a motor sleigh turned in a snowdrift. He was reportedly on his way home when the overturn occurred and a coat was used to cover a downed horse. Mr Hebner had heart trouble and was thought stricken by a severe attack. Manitoba Winter Fair Tickets Go On Advance Sale

P W Chittick announces the Manitoba Winter Fair will be held in Brandon March 16 to 20 with advance admission tickets at 28 cents if bought by March 14. Each 25 cent ticket admits one person and offers a chance to win one of five main prizes including wheat and seed wheat certificates. Also notes 1835 old age pension payments in Manitoba totaling 2,268,955 and administrative costs of 221.

New Egg Station to Open Here

Mr C B Whitmer reports Manitoba Egg and Poultry Association will open new receiving and grading stations this year with Russell likely hosting one. Eggs will be collected from far west to surrounding country, graded, and sent to city markets. Success hinges on farmer merchants cooperation and new grading rules. station slated to open about April 1.
