Improvement of Livestock The Bull Scheme
The Dominion Live Stock Branch since 1913 has loaned bulls to farmer associations for communal breeding. By 1925 the scheme requires three association units to form a Livestock Improvement Centre with interunit bull exchanges every two years. Each unit must have at least ten members and a $1.90 membership fee. The scheme aims to build cooperative districts for beef or dairy cattle with three local associations forming a centre to supply three bulls and rotate them on schedule.
