Matheson Rink Shines in Winnipeg Bonspiel

The Matheson rink shows strong form at the Winnipeg bonspiel and remains active in three events through Wednesday noon. They upset top aggregates before exiting in the Purity Floor, Dingwall and McLaren events and are among four Canadian teams chosen to face American rinks in the International.

Ills in Winnipeg area noted with funerals and cold spell

Millwood John Wondrasek remains in critical condition at Winnipeg hospital while James McConnell Jr. and George his younger son receive care. A severe cold snap with forty below readings and a Thursday blizzard are reported. Mrs Frank Percy dies at Winnipeg Hospital after months of illness and is survived by her husband and four daughters and a son. burial at Harding where her parents live.

Last Winter Dance At Shellmouth Club Ends Season

Harrowby Ladies Aid Concert a Great Social Success

The Ladies' Aid held a concert and social on the 13th with large attendance and a midnight supper. A refined program and lively opening chorus captivated the audience as Misses Mary Della and Olive Blane and Mrs Free map and Mr. Marsham contributed their voices.

Valentine Social at Davidson Home Delights Minuiska

A Friday Valentine social hosted by the Ladies Aid Society at Mr. Jno. Davidson’s home in Minuiska drew a large crowd aided by ideal weather. Prizes went to Miss M. McDougall and Mr. Wm. Burke for receiving the most valentines as readings and games sparked laughter and community spirit.
