Maikiwood to Whitmer traveled to Winnipeg on Monday. Mr and Mrs P H Spencer holidayed in Winnipeg. Mrs W P Storey returned from a two week visit with friends at Ncee pawa. Red Cross Dance at Milwood hall on Friday February 6th invites gentlemen with baskets, ladies welcome, to help the cause.
A pleasant social evening at Harrowby school house hosted by Mr and Mrs Wesley on Friday February Sid. The impromptu program of songs readings and recitations entertained a good crowd before supper and dancing. A collection of 26.00 was raised to support Red Cross work as the tea series concludes.
Asessippi residents hosted a skating party with a $1500 Red Cross donation. a wedding in the area united Harriet Berrington and Clarence Robin. Reports mention visits by Mr and Mrs Lammie, a soldier’s dependents note, Red Cross suppers, and Armenian Relief fundraising totals reaching $159.20.
A Friday box social and concert at the Crosby and Bavelaw schoolhouse drew many attendees. Boxes sold for 64.00 raising funds for the Armenian Relief Fund. total district contributions reached 108.50 after a 4450 collection at a later service led by Mr J H Kitching and featuring the Ingieside Trio.

The council formed a Mothers' Allowance Act committee, granted a pig permit, referred pig pen redesigns, supported rural nurse employment, donated 2500 to Winnipeg Children’s Aid Society, and appointed HP Reed as solicitor and H Clee as assessor for 1918.

Russell Red Cross notes a silver shower at Mrs Wm Thom's home on Saturday first. Funds include 39 dollars from a Girl's Club sale and 4 dollars membership with 3 dollars monthly contributions. Forwarded items to Winnipeg Red Cross: one bag with 86 socks, 3 pyjamas, 2 day shirts, 3 wristlets, and 2 dressing gowns.
