Environmental Stewardship Award for Gerega Farms Leader
In its first year the Gerega family farm earned the Environmental Stewardship Award from Manitoba based on sustainable practices taught by Dave Gerega’s father. The community recognizes his thoughtful approach to farming and environmental care. The Treherne Rink Committee aims to raise 150000 for a new Rathwell skating rink replacing the 1939 structure that was deemed unsafe. The planned 180 by 60 foot rink includes a 161 by 58 foot waiting room with washrooms and a concession, at an estimated cost of 150000.
