Manitoba eyes rising risk of spring overland flooding
Infrastructure Minister Blaine Pedersen released the 2017 January Conditions Report noting normal to well above normal soil moisture and winter precipitation create moderate to major overland flooding risk across much of Manitoba. Forecasters will refine outlooks as winter lingers and spring melt looms. River regions including Red and Souris face major risk. Interlake and Fisher River areas moderate. First full outlook due end February.
