Russell Lions in Full Swing Amid Winter Fundraisers

Russell Lions continue festive activities with donations to two Major Pratt students to university and $500 for Mayo Clinic patient, plus support for 4-H Public Speaking and Hospice Program. They plan radio aids, Handi Van, Seniors Services grants, and host fundraisers including a Spring Auction Flea Market and ski derby tickets. District Convention in Neepawa in February. Near $2000 raised for Journey for Sight with Lion Cryil and others.

Busy December at school with revised curling format and holiday events

December was busy as students started house based curling with four teams per house and skated rest of afternoons. The school hosted a Christmas concert and musical for K to grade 8, with 17 students in a Drama Group preparing plays for spring.
