Near Tragedy in Blizzard Trips Three Women
Three women Mrs. L. Rice her daughter Lyla and Elena Rentel were caught in a severe blizzard in the Inglis district last Sunday. Their van ran out of fuel as the heater failed and rescue efforts followed as Elena walked for help and reached Henry Fingis home. Residents helped cold and stiff travelers who were found on the road that evening.

Prize List Published For Farmers Bonspiel
The Russell Board of Trade publishes the prize list for the annual Farmers Bonspiel to be held on Friday and Saturday February 14 and 15. Four entries have been received so far and entries close Monday February 10 at 6 o clock. Three events will run over the two days with ample curling and entertainment for visiting curlers. There is no territorial limit and male farmers or farm workers who reside on the farm year round are invited to enter.
