Assiniboine RHA notes year end funding shortfall
The Assiniboine Regional Health Authority board held a conference call on December 15 2010 in Souris and reported a year end funding shortfall projected at 1.5 million dollars despite a 862 103 dollar surplus to date. The meeting covered governance policy updates physician privileges approval transfer of Handivan operations to communities and roof replacements for two elderly housing units.

Flood assistance for Assiniboine Valley producers announced
Manitoba announces over 2.5 million dollars in flood relief for Assiniboine Valley farmers who lost land to Shellmouth reservoir floods in 2010. MAFRI minister Stan Struthers says funds offset 2010 losses as hay pasture and forage restoration are included. Program run by MASC with applications to be issued mid January.
