School Board meeting discusses policy transfers and budget
The Pelly Trail School Board met Tuesday December 13 at 1 00 pm with trustees and administration. They referred a absent student issue to Policy Committee and considered a mutual Principals Group meeting February 16. The board accepted reports on building projects and major maintenance and discussed a preliminary budget without full board approval. A Oakburn parent delegation raised education concerns and transfer policies. The Junior High Industrial Arts and Home Economics program details were outlined with fees proposed at 10.00 per student and transportation costs noted. A maternity leave request for MPC teacher was approved, with a separate special leave for June. A Junior High Trip to Ontario and Quebec was canceled for this year.

Russell RM approves tax cancellation by law at December meeting
