Runell RM Considers Compensation and Road Obstacle
The Rural Municipality of Runell council met December 10 with Reeve Bob Witty and six councillors present. Gerald Keating resigned as Fire Board chairman. The meeting discussed salary increases for a Russell Recreation Director, budgeting gaps, and a March 1987 joint meeting. Russell Fire Chief Hank Smith sought compensation over a blocked road approach by a Clement Fertilizers fence, with lawyer Woody Langford present. Smith seeks removal of the fence and road opening, after an initial offer of $90.
