Christmas day services are set for Shellmouth 11 am Rochedale 3 pm and a Sunday night carol service at St Cuthbert's after the evening service. Special services on Sunday Dec 20 at Shellmouth 3 30 pm and Asessippi Church 10 am include children addresses and Christmas hymns.
A trained nurse is kept busy as winter strains services. Mr F Richardson of Rochedale collected taxes in the village last week. Traffic halts due to lack of snow. Mr A Hunt of Dropmore visited on Monday. Remember holly and mistletoe for Christmas. Seed Grain and Poultry Show in Shellmouth is noted to Mr and Mrs G Matheson, late of Canora, as guests of Mrs TC Gerrard. Mrs M McFadyen is on the sick list with best wishes for recovery.
