Borderland Ventures shifts plan from feedlot to ethanol and gluten

Borderland Ventures plans to drop the 15 000 head cattle feedlot from its project to cut costs. Project manager Gerald Keating says the revised plan focuses on ethanol production and wheat gluten, with costs reduced from about 40 million to 29 million and investor risk reallocated. He notes no guarantee investors will back the gluten ethanol project, and the feedlot could operate independently if the main venture falters.
