Pioneer Rossburn citizen Thomas Buchanan dies
Thomas Buchanan a longtime Rossburn resident and former Glen Lime farmer died at his home after months of ill health. Born in Elma Ontario he married Ellen Cochrane in 1875 and moved west in 1880. He leaves a widow two daughters three sons three brothers and a sister. Funeral Saturday at the church with Orange Lodge members assisting at Roseburn Cemetery.

Nineteen Lepers in Dominion Reported at Simcoe Lecture
Rev. H. N. Konkie, traveling secretary for the Mission to Lepers, spoke in Simcoe about leprosy in Canada. He noted nineteen cases nationwide with ten in New Brunswick and nine in British Columbia, and said the mission operates at 95 stations in 13 countries. He estimated at least a million lepers globally and that the speed of aid has reached only about 16,790 individuals so far.
