Advent sermons and local notices fill Binscarth page

Gentlemen from the community have gone hunting while the Dramatic association awaits action. Burley and Stanley Murrane are in Winnipeg for a few days as E Langford stays with Mrs Langford before a trip to British Columbia. Mrs Bryant plans a large house addition and Shellmouth eyes growth. The CNR briefly misplaced cars. The Rev A Shannon and Mr Barrett were seen at a recent recreation event. Roy McFadyen has recovered from illness. Miss M and Alex McFadyen remain on the sick list. A mince pie social aided English church lamps, held at Mrs Langford’s on Tuesday the 5th. full details next week. Services announced for the English church with evening Sunday service at 7:30 and morning service at 11 on Dec 17.

Drowmore Concert Aids District School Organ Fund

A Monday November 27 concert and dance at the district school raised funds for an organ. Mr Theobod led singing with many artistes entertaining a crowded audience until 1030. Refreshments were provided by the ladies and gentlemen's committee, and expenses were practically covered.

Funds were raised for the organ project and a small balance remained to be covered. The article notes efforts gathered contributions and continued drive to complete the purchase.

Endcliffe Mr Derry and Mr Roden Leave District

Endcliffe Mr Derry who has been working for Me Laycock left the district the other week. Mr Roden left Endcliffe last Monday for Montreal. A large turnout at the services last Sunday with calls for more attendance next Sunday. Mr Pitta way and Mrs Sudbury attended, indicating their recoveries after illness. A social will be held at the home of Mr and Mrs Schwalm on Friday evening the 8th from 7 to 11 pm with a church work collection. Everyone invited.

Late Mrs Peyton Passes at Harrowby Home

The Late Mrs Peyton died at Wolverine Harrowby the home of her son in law Frederick M Lee aged eighty seven. A pioneer who came to Mites in 1855 she was cheerful helpful and devout a member of the Anglican Church. She leaves five children Mr F M Lee Harrowby T H Peyton Dublin Charles Alfred Langham Sask Arthur Norman Swan River and Thomas William Vancouver. Funeral was held Friday in Harrowby newly opened cemetery.
