Manitoba Proposes Mediation Referrals Across Courts
Legislative amendments by Attorney General Dave Chomiak would shield mediation in family law cases from disclosure in the provincial court and authorize referrals to the Family Conciliation Program for mediation and assessment reports. The changes align provincial court powers with Court of Queen's Bench on custody and access referrals to designated mediators and family evaluators.
