Dresses and memories from the Beth Naylor Collection exhibit
The Gordon Orr Memorial Museum in Binscarth shows dresses and a men's wedding coat from the Beth Naylor Collection. Items include an ivory satin wedding dress worn by Gwen Mc Tavish in 1946 and a cream embroidered taffeta dress worn by Jessie Stacheski in 1954. Also featured is a 1902 cutaway coat worn by James Boyd Craig. A personal note recalls a Titanic voyage near-miss and a later family story. A veterinary clinic fundraiser in February 2011 seeks donations to help a Philippine-born health technician's sister with brain aneurysm surgery costs.
