A GoFundMe page launched and a two event fundraiser set for August 29 2015 in Russell to cover medical costs. Events include golf at Russell Golf Club a supper at George P. Buleziuk Centre and a social with prizes all proceeds go to the Ewbank family. Hodgkin's lymphoma is portrayed as highly curable and Ewbank is optimistic about beating the cancer.
