Upgraded Main Street Opens in Russell
The Main Street of Russell officially opened Saturday August 22 with ministers Albert Driedger and Len Derkach present. The $1.1 million project included paving curb and gutter work and relocation of part of the street, plus $36 000 for other town street upgrades on a shared cost basis. The opening coincided with the Tourism Information Centre launch at PTH 16 and PTH 83 and a $100 000 highway intersection improvement.
