Premium Brands Ice Cream Plant Closes Neepawa Operations
Premium Brands announces the Neepawa ice cream plant will close this month, laying off at least 20 workers. The Neepawa site, once the Neepawa Creamery sold to Schwan's Fine Foods in 1989, saw major changes after a 1991 expansion and later cessation of operations. Police report a sheep theft near St. Claude as RCMP investigate the incident and value loss.
