An intense electrical storm Sunday evening caused heavy rain damage to grain crops in the district. The storm disrupted haying operations and unsettled farmers awaiting favorable weather for harvest.

Oldest Burns Club in Greenock Noted

Several thousand pie-makers strike in New York City threatening to reveal pie contents. Mann's outfit has about g miles of C ON R grade rail from Neepawa toward Birnie's, likely stopping this fall. Buchanan's southward line from McCreary is short and may not reach 10 miles before freeze up. Doubt remains of rail being laid north or northwest of Neepawa this season.
