Carleton student documents Uganda postwar land disputes
Journalism graduate student Sarah Petz spent two months in Gulu Uganda profiling rural communities affected by land disputes amid post civil war reconstruction. She aimed to highlight evictions tied to oil and mineral finds, with broadcasts on Canadian radio. Petz built a site for ABS FM, conducted 50+ interviews, and endured malaria during her stay before returning to Canada to finish her Masters.
