Cancom to supply American networks via Canadian system
The Canadian Satellite Communications Cancom seeks CRTC hearings after September 1 to add CBS NBC ABC and PBS to Canadian signals. If approved, Cancom will offer a mixed Canadian US package at about $4 per month, with scrambling to prevent signal leakage and deals already in place with 300 operators serving 15 000 viewers. The Winnipeg market will not see Russell area impact as local signals come from the Eastern US.
