Monument plan urged for Russell town
In a Letter to the Editor from Russell, a reader urges funds for a war memorial funded by voluntary subscriptions. The writer compares Saltcoats Sask and urges a mass meeting led by the mayor to organize a public memorial and capture local trophies or a captured gun as a war memento. Delay is described as dangerous and community spirit is called for to honor fallen soldiers.
