Changes in The Liquor Act Restricts Local Option Districts
The Manitoba Liquor Act amendments tighten liquor possession rules in local option districts. Only licensed druggists may stock liquor locally, with restricted quantities for brewers distillers or importers, dentists, doctors and clergymen. Doctors prescriptions limit six ounces per use, and police gain broad search and enforcement powers.
