Greyhound strike disrupts Russell merchants and transit routes
The Greyhound freight halt across Manitoba slows deliveries to Russell retailers and theatres. Lou Wolowich of Avalon Theatre and Windy Acres Drive-In says films may delay and costs rise as transfer services and Grey Goose routes replace Greyhound. Webb Bus Lines suspends service impacting routes via Rossburn and Angusville. The disruption also affects parts deliveries and overnight shipments, with longer wait times. A gravel contract for Birtle-Russell area is also noted.
