Manitoba farmers disappointed by Keystone budget plan
Keystone Agricultural Producers say Manitoba's budget offers only a 5 percent cut to the farm education levy, insufficient to ease the heavy tax burden on farm families. They warn that rising assessment values may offset savings while noting limited capital for odour reduction credits and CAIS funding concerns. The group urges more sustainable funding for agriculture amid BSE and low prices.
