Change in School Act Amends District Residency and Pay Rules
Two key amendments to the public schools act are now in force. The secretary treasurer must be a resident of the district he serves, ending illegal multiple-district holdings. The act also repeals section 195, shifting pay to actual time under contract, eliminating proportional summer pay. Blank agreement forms now provided by the department of education specify salary in the contract.
